I find joy in capturing today's memories. As a portrait artist, I am excited to be able to create timeless family heirlooms to live on the walls of your home and showcase the most important people in your life. These portraits are your ticket to a time otherwise gone, and they will become some of your most treasured possessions. This self-portrait above is truly one of the most valued images I have of my children because it can instantly take me back in time, and I can hear those sweet little giggles and feel the joy from this moment in time. Tears...but in all honesty, I'm not just exaggerating. The older my children get, the more I treasure this portrait.
These two sweet kiddos are the reason that CHRISTY PARROTT PHOTOGRAPHY exists today. Andrew & Hannah Jane are now some pretty awesome young adults. As I strived to capture every moment of their childhood, my love for photography really began to grow. I found myself taking tons of pictures and spending a lot of time at the one-hour photo developing roll after roll of film. Back in the day, scrapbooking was all the rage and my friends, and I spent a lot of nights together making our books look cute. That's when I first started getting requests to use my photo skills to photograph other families. Before long, I was getting calls from people I didn't know who wanted me to photograph their family, too. That was when I decided I needed to get serious about my hobby, and my business was officially born in 2005. Today, I am a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America and have earned the honor of Certified Professional Photographer.
I have been blessed to be able to live in many beautiful places and serve families from coast to coast before moving back to my hometown of Henderson, Texas. Having a portrait studio in my hometown has been a dream of mine for so many years, and in 2019 I was able to see that dream come to life.
My goal is to fill your walls with amazing wall art and your coffee table with beautiful leather albums.
I offer a complete line of heirloom quality, custom photographic products. There are no order minimums, and my clients typically invest between $2500 - $5000 on their custom artwork.
